Your job: Senior Java Software Engineer Amsterdam High Performance
At the moment they are working very hard to extent the platform to be able to launch in the Unites States, for which a lot still needs to be done in completing the roadmap. You as Senior Java Software Engineer Amsterdam High Performance will be able to really make an impact. As the architecture still needs to be decides for various key modules, lots of functionalities still need to be developed and as the scale of users will increase dramatically the performance always needs to be optimized
You will get to work with cutting edge technology like Core Java, (Java8), Guice, MicroServices, NoSQL, Google Cloud, Apache Beam and Docker.
You will get to work in an open, intelligent, Master Computer Science graduate level people. A very collaborative multidisciplinary software engineering team with both senior and mediors. It would be great if you could act as mentor for the mediors and help them grow to the next level in the career. Furthermore you will get a chance to help cherry pick the best colleagues by being part of the interviewing process. Your opinion is really valued here! As the teams are growing in the future there might also be room to grow into a tech lead role.
What is required?
- 5+ years of professional java software engineering experience
- A good view on and experience with architecture
- Experience with building distributed / heavy load systems
- Good comprehension of Data Structures, Core Java and Queuing technology
- Experience with building Microservices
- A bachelor level in informatics or computer science or higher is preferred
- Experience with Java8, Guice and/or Spring Data would be a plus
- Experience with NoSQL or Google Cloud would be a big plus
- Experience with Beam or Docker would be a plus
What is offered?
- Between € 60.000 and € 85.000 gross per year based on 40 hours
- Very flexible working hours and working from home possibilities
