Your role: Principal Clojure Developer Amsterdam
As Principal Clojure Developer Amsterdam you play a fundamental role in enabling this tech-scale to grow, be successful, build the product further and help attract the best minds to help you. The impact you can have is huge! You will form the essential part of the nucleus and will have a big impact on the further development of the team and the technology stack. You are tasked to grow the product, help implement the ambitious roadmap and find the best market-fit. Once this challenging phase has been completed all is set for world domination!
If you love the excitement of developing awesome AI/Streaming data-driven features in a fast-paced startup environment, without compromising on tests or neglecting software craftsmanship, this is for you! You will get to work on heavily distributed, real-time systems that process millions, if not billions of events per day. You will also get to help improve the CI/CD environment and implement distributed ML algorithms. What is required?
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Professional experience with Clojure, streaming technology and real time architectures
- Experience working within data driven companies
- Experience working within a microservices architecture
- Strong can-do mentality with good communication and collaboration skills
- Prior experience helping an (early stage) scale-up grow is a big plus
- Experience with Akka, Akka-steams is a plus
- Experience with Kafka, NoSQL or ElasticSearch is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes or GCP is a plus
