Your role: Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam
In your role as Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam you will focus on the backend of their platform and work within one of the multidisciplinary scrum teams, working hard to implement the roadmap. As scalability, performance and concurrency are paramount you will get to work on architecture, get to design and build various services (heavy load/ low latency) and help improve what has already been developed. As you will work in a booming global fast paced industry you will furthermore always have to remain vigilant and be able to adapt to the ever changing market.

What is required?
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with a JVM language
- +2 years of professional experience with Scala
- Experience with building high performance systems
- Experience with Kafka, Akka and Event Sourcing is highly preferred
- End to end development: good understanding of DevOps: from feature design to deployment
- A good team player
- Experience with NoSQL and/or Google Cloud is a plus
- Experience with building trading and/or transactional systems is a big plus
