Your role: Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam
In your role as Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam you will focus on the backend of their platform and work within one of the multidisciplinary scrum teams, working hard to implement the roadmap. As scalability, performance and concurrency are paramount you will get to work on architecture, get to design and build various services (heavy load/ low latency/event driven design) and help improve what has already been developed. As you will work in a booming global fast paced industry you will furthermore always have to remain vigilant and be able to adapt to the ever changing market.

What is required?
- 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably with a JVM language
- 2+ years of professional experience with Scala, Akka and Kafka
- Keen interest to work within a quickly growing tech-scale up within a 24/7 operating quickly growing global trading market
- You have a broad interest and thrive on responsibility and working on mission-critical systems of scale
- Experience with designing and building event-based microservices from scratch
- Experience with messages based architectures is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of transactional systems
- Experience designing and building mission-critical systems
- End to end development: you write it, you run it!
- Experience with cloud like AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus
- Experience with Cats, Zio is a plus
- Experience with building trading and/or transactional systems is a big plus
