Your role: Senior Java Backend Developer Utrecht
As Senior Java Backend Developer Utrecht you will join their most senior dev team. You are your teammates are responsible for the entire architecture and help to continuously improve the scalability of their entire product suite. This furthermore means you will work with all dev teams, you can truly have an impact. You will play a fundamental role in the further success of the company as you basically get to analyze and touch every part of their systems (Java8/11 and Scala/Akka Steams).
They are growing quickly with every big client they add to their platform which is why they continuously need to increase scalability and usability. Also, they are building a light “cloud” version of their product (GCP, AWS and private cloud) where you will get to work on too.

What is required?
- +5 years of professional (backend) software development experience
- Professional experience with Java or Scala, but OK to work with both (polyglot mindset)
- Solid experience building distributed/heavy load systems and increasing scalability
- Test- and delivery automation are no-brainers for you
- You thrive within an engineering environment where people discuss based on facts
- Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus
- Experience with Docker is a plus
