You role: Senior Data Engineer Utrecht
Currently they have already made great steps building their product so far, gaining the attention of very big names interested in it. The challenge is now to add new great features that will help work for even bigger clients with way more data than even handles before. Now that the amount of data is increasing significantly the time has come to professionalize their data engineering team and that is where you come in!
As Senior Data Engineer Utrecht you will join the newly formed Analytics team to ramp up the real time data analytics capacities of their core product. That is why it would be great if you have experience with parser contributors, NLP or compilers, as it is highly likely that you will get to build your very own language. As the team is new you will have the freedom to lay the foundation for the future, while working with very tech savvy colleagues.
In this role you can grow into lead data engineer or hands on architect.
What is required?
- +5 years of professional software engineering experience with Java, Scala and/Python
- Professional data engineering experience with Scala and Akka Streams
- Experience with Spark and/or Hadoop ecosystem
- Experience building Analytics systems
- Technical MSc level is preferred
- Clean coding, agile mindset and quality product building attitude
