Your job: Lead Java Software Engineer Finance Amsterdam
As the moment there are lots of challenges you are about to face. One of the most important is splitting the monolithic back end into microservices, to improve performance and scalability. Everything should be able to run in Docker containers. This back end connects to all touch points like web, mobile and tablet.
The main goal is to keep up to pace with the ever increasing customer base, which even now already consists of over half a million users. At the moment the Netherlands is the main market, but other countries are just waiting to be added!
In your role as Lead Java Software Engineer Finance Amsterdam you will have a technical leadership role within one of the scrum teams, focusing mainly on the back end of the application. Within your scrum team you will act as mentor for medior and senior software engineers, while being able to spar with the many other lead engineers from other scrum teams.

What is required?
- 5+ years of professional java software development experience
- Experience with Java7 or 8, Spring, REST, CI and Scrum
- Communicative, able to mentor and explain concepts well to both tech and non tech
- Knowledge of JavaScript and building SPA’s (so you can understand your front end colleagues)
- Experience with Microservices, Docker, Continious Delivery or DevOps are pluses
- Knowledge of the financial domain is a plus
