Your role: Lead Java Developer Haarlem
As Lead Java Developer Haarlem, you could not join at a more interesting time! You are standing at the beginning of a legacy, that will shape their service towards everyone in the Netherlands. Although this platform will take several years for you and your team to develop. Once the backbone has been developed, you will open up endless possibilities of building intelligent systems on top of the platform.
When you join as Lead Java Developer Haarlem you will play a crucial role in the new to be developed platform and the further development of the backend team. You will have a big impact within the organization and towards the millions of people that you serve. If you are looking to make an impact, then you have come to the right place! As you will lead the java team and acts as the technical conscience of management. You will be the main player in cutting up the architecture in bite sized chunks and hands on lead the development.
As the team will be scaling up after you, you will furthermore get to cherry pick your own developers to build your team further.

What is required?
- 6+ years of hands on backend development experience
- Experience with a JVM language is much preferred
- Experience with architecture, design and working on highly reliable/consistent well tested systems
- Experience with event driven architectures
- Able to communicate well with business and development
- Experience with Java8+ is a big plus
- Experience with cloud and GCP, in particular, is a plus
- Experience with Google Pub/Sub or similar system is a plus
- Experience with security and/or Kubernetes is a plus
What is offered?
- Between € 68.000 and € 78.000 gross per year
- The choice to work 40 or 36 hours
- Yearend bonus

- Traveling cost compensation
