Your role – Senior Node.JS Developer Amsterdam
As Senior Node.JS Developer Amsterdam you will work in one of the multi disciplinarily Scrum teams to build state of the art very high availability components to the platform. The key focus is clear: help improve the customer experience to an ever growing group of already millions of people. Due to the vast amount of data processed by the platform you can look forward to solving the type of problems you don’t easily find anywhere else. Some services are even processing hundreds of thousands of requests per second! Working here means building technology/components yourself, as the type of challenges you are solving you generally haven’t (openly) been solved before!
In the meanwhile you are highly involved in architectural decisions and help coach less experienced developers. As this is a high quality product environment you can really build what you are proud of, no killer deadlines just for the sake of it! As you are one of the senior software engineers, of course, you will also share your knowledge with your colleagues.
What is required?
- 6+ years of professional software development
- Experience with building distributed / scalable systems
- Experience within a microservices architecture
- Great software engineering theory fundamentals
- a good understanding of TDD and Unit Testing; you are quality focused
- experience in a CI/CD environment is highly appreciated
- experience with Agile, Scrum, TDD and/or XP are plusses
- experience with containerization is a big plus
