Your job: Senior Java Developer Haarlem
In your role as Senior Java Developer Haarlem you will be part of a passionate multidisciplinary development team, which works closely with the business based on Scrum. You and your team members work closely with the business to continuously see how best to service the thousands of consumer customers and work to complete the very juicy roadmap.
The platform is already servicing hundreds of thousands of people, but growing every month! As they are continuously growing and launching different brands through Europe there will always be a lot of features that need to be developed.
In your role as Senior Java Developer Haarlem you will be the right hand of the lead developer and can really help impact the further development of the platform. You will get to help grow the team, mentor less experienced developers and act as a positive influence in the further development of their engineering culture.
Although the focus on this role is backend, there is always room to pick up React and Typescript here too if you want.
What is required?
- 5+ years of professional java development experience
- Experience with Java8+ and experience within microservices environments
- A DevOps mentality: (able to write and run your own code)
- A good communicator, able to also spar with your team members and the business
- Good English
- Quality dev mindset: (Unit Testing, Test Automation, TDD)
- Experience with or the willingness to do functional programming with Java
- Experience with NoSQL solutions is a plus
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with Kafka is a plus
- Experience with Event Sourcing / CQRS is a plus
- Experience with ElasticSearch is a plus
What is offered?
- Between € 60.000 and € 75.000 gross per year based on 40 hours
- A lease car or € 400 mobility budget per month, although the role is internal!
