Your employer: Save lives with a technically challenging open-source product

You sometimes come across those companies with the thought: “I wish I was there from the start”. A very unique opportunity presents itself, namely at a small MedTech company that has a direct impact on saving human lives. They have found a way to organize the treatments around disease control many times more effectively and efficiently. In addition, everything they build here is open-source, so that the whole world can use the systems they build here. What satisfaction this will bring to your work knowing that you have an impact on saving your fellow humans!

You will work in a technologically driven environment where you, often with MSc and Ph.D. colleagues, will sink your teeth into high caliber technical challenges surrounding Low-Latency and Distributed Systems. With billions of units of data flowing through their systems every day, everyone has mastered the Computer Science fundamentals very well, so you can learn a lot from this. In short, not only impactful work but also an enormous challenge and a lot to learn!

Here you will find everything you can expect from a successful tech scale-up. The inspiring and driven management has a proven track record and extensive experience within the medical world. Technically they are also among the top in the Netherlands. The environment is vibrant and inspiring with high ambitions. There is plenty of room for knowledge sharing, and personal development, but also for relaxation. You work in a very attractive office and there is an outing and a drink every now and then and you enjoy going to work.

Your role: Senior Java Developer Amsterdam

As a Senior Java Developer Amsterdam you will have the unique opportunity to work on a new abstraction layer to process trillions of units of static data into real-time analyses that can match the right treatment. You get the chance to really crack your brain here. People work here on problems that have not been solved before, so a lot of work is done with Core Software Development, and you, therefore, get the chance to learn how things work under the hood. What a unique opportunity this is!
