Your job: Senior Core Java Software Engineer Amsterdam R&D
As Senior Core Java Software Engineer Amsterdam R&D you will work in one of the agile teams and will have the very interesting job of helping to improve the various internal systems. As big data, performance and scalability are key you can look forward researching the latest cutting edge tools and building bleeding edge components to an already very technological superior product line.
In your role you will use you knowledge of software architecture, delivery process automation and other core software engineering fundamentals to spearhead various R&D projects. Examples are improving operational statistics by improving the performance of different parts of the systems or researching which NoSQL solution to use after MSSQL with a new data layer framework on top. Next to this you will help to help further improve the software delivery process by automating performance testing for example.

What is required?
- Excellent (around 7+ years) of professional (server side) java development experience
- Excellent Core Java skills and experience
- Experience with real time data processing and concurrency is highly preferred
- A Master’s degree in computer science or PhD level
- Experience with component based software engineering
- Excellent communication skills: able to convey the why behind the how
- Experience with R&D is highly preferred
- A clean coder; experience with Unit Testing
- Experience with NoSQL and is a plus
- Experience with Git, TDD, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration is a plus
- Experience with tools like Maven, Bamboo or JMeter would be beneficial
