Your role: Lead Scala Developer Amsterdam
As Lead Scala Developer Amsterdam you will be the technical leader of their backend team. In your role you work closely with Product, Management and your Team. Currently scalability and throughput (horizontally and vertically) needs to be increased significantly. This is no easy task! As the product is vast. So you will need to crack you brain on very challenging tasks every single day. All while continuously adding new features, building new services and further automate what can be automated. After which you will also help scale up their team significantly in the future. This means selecting and cherry picking the best people for your team!
As Lead Scala Developer Amsterdam you will also be the one to lead the best practices in code standards. Although everyone is a dedicated proponent of clean coding, so you everything is in place for a great time!
What is required?
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Fundamental experience with Scala and building distributes systems
- Experience with Akka and working in a Microservices Architecture
- Able to drive architecture
- Technical leadership experience
- Experience building systems where scalability and throughput are crucial (is a big plus)
- Experience with NoSQL solutions is a big plus
- Experience with JVM tuning, ElasticSearch, Python and Machine Learning tools are pluses
What is offered?
- Between € 70.000 and € 90.000 based on experience and added value (€ 55.000 – € 67.500 net, with a 30-% ruling)
