Your responsibilities – Lead Java Developer Utrecht
As Lead Java developer you will be technology responsible of a small team of experienced Java Developers. Besides taking a hands on lead, you will propose new technological idea’s to the (international) management team, make architectural decisions together with the senior Java Developers and be part of a worldwide team of software architects for global strategy. (Currently they are very busy with setting up Micro Services).
Creativity and commitment is very important to them. Therefore, the development team, get’s here the posibility to work, part of their time, on their own R&D projects, like they do at Google!!! The first innovative ideas from these R&D projects have been put into production, how cool is that?!?
What is needed
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Java Development
- Experience in a lead developer position, could also be in a short project
- Minimum a technical Bachelor degree
- Java 8 experience is a plus
- Experience with MicroServices is a plus
- Experience with Git
- Experience with modern tooling like Hibernate, Maven
- Experience with Jenkins and/or Puppet is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with web services like SOAP or REST
- Knowledge and experience with Scrum is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with TDD and CI and CD is a big plus
- Experience with Big Data and NoSQL technologies like Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch is a plus
