Your Employer: 100% Product Company Innovating Core Engines for Self-Driving Cars and Traffic Safety

This medium-sized product company based in Amersfoort has been a great success for years. Here, highly tangible products are developed that make the daily lives of many Dutch (and soon European) citizens a bit easier. Think of everything from self-driving cars to groceries and traffic safety. The societal relevance here is significant. The products and systems developed here are all high available, real-time, and deal with massive amounts of data. Add to that in-house developed algorithms that have excelled in the world of software engineering, and you have a variety of complex backend challenges to sink your teeth into.

The company is entering an interesting phase. After years of healthy growth within the Netherlands, there is now much interest in the products from Europe. This means teams will be scaled up, products innovated, and many new features developed. This translates to lots of new construction and even more data for the systems to process.

The culture embodies everything you would expect from an innovative product organization: driven, professional, and energetic. Knowledge sharing and the opportunity to apply new technologies in their current environment are central. They really push the boundaries of current technology, so making mistakes is part of the process of learning, isn’t it? Furthermore, the atmosphere is very informal, with a lot of camaraderie, flexible working hours, and the possibility of fixed remote working days.

Your Role: Backend Developer Scala

Additionally, various new products and services will be developed, so there will be plenty of new construction for you to find here.
