Your role: Senior Cloud Engineer Amsterdam
As a Senior Cloud Engineer Amsterdam you are part of an elite team, with one mission: to find innovative ways to let customers stay longer on their platform and to bring in even more customers with everything running in the Cloud on their platforms. They are at the beginning of the adoption of the GCP platform. You get the perfect opportunity to help different platforms to the Cloud with millions, billions of end users. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and use it for the success of this organization.
Your team continuously thinks about the best product development strategy that can immediately have a huge impact, you help them to translate this into Cloud solutions. While they adjust the product several times a day, you will receive immediate feedback due to the close cooperation. Once the software works, it is rolled out to their international network and you are the person who makes sure that this software runs in the Cloud.
Here you get the opportunity as a Senior Cloud Engineer to be the person between the Development team and the Cloud. You get the opportunity to drive Cloud solutions and DevOps within the team, which means that you have a huge impact on the organization and the team. You will be primarily concerned with the adoption of the GCP public cloud. You are also required to run the Java applications within the Public Cloud. You help your colleagues and your team with the adoption of Cloud and DevOps principles. There are opportunities to grow to, for example, Principal Engineer or Team Lead positions.
What is required?
- More than 5 years of professional experience in Software Development and Cloud Engineering
- Experience with Public Cloud with a preference for GCP
- Experience with Java Software Development
- Experience with CI / CD such as Jenkins
- DevOps mindset and this can be driven within the organization
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in a fast-growing company is a big plus
- Pre experience with infrastructure as code Terrafom
- Pre experience with Kubernetes
