Vacancy: Senior Frontend Engineer Amsterdam
- Do you enjoy turning complex platform data into dashboards and internal tools that teams actually rely on every day?
- Do you like building data-heavy interfaces where usability, performance and clarity matter more than visual gimmicks?
- Are you the kind of frontend engineer who enjoys working closely with backend engineers and stakeholders to turn raw data into real insights?
- And how does a remote-first engineering culture with a salary up to €95.000 + 8% bonus sound?
Then this is a role worth exploring.
Your employer: technology behind a European digital platform
You will join a stable, mid-sized technology company that operates a digital platform used across multiple European markets. The platform has a clear impact on the circular economy and plays an important role in enabling more efficient and sustainable commerce between businesses.
Behind that platform sits a complex ecosystem of services, data flows and operational processes. Teams across finance, operations, procurement and commercial departments depend on accurate insights to run the business effectively.
This is exactly where this role becomes interesting.
Up to ten brands the organisation is currently investing in a new internal data capability that will bring operational insights much closer to the platform itself. Instead of relying on fragmented spreadsheets or external reporting tools, they are building a modern environment where teams can explore platform data directly. They are also actively integrating AI-assisted development into its engineering workflow, and this role will help shape how teams adopt and use these tools effectively.
For a frontend engineer this creates a rare opportunity: you get to build the interfaces through which the entire organisation understands its own data.
Because the company operates across multiple brands and countries, data currently lives in many places. This new team will help unify those insights and create visibility across the business.
Engineering plays a central role in that transition. Teams are pragmatic, collaborative and focused on building systems that last. Because the organisation is mid-sized, you have real influence: the tools you build will directly shape how teams across the company work with data.
Your role: Senior Frontend Engineer Amsterdam
As Senior Frontend Engineer Amsterdam you will get to build the interfaces through which an entire organisation understands its own data. This is not a typical frontend role where you simply implement UI based on tickets. Instead, you will help shape how data becomes accessible and understandable for multiple departments.
In addition, the engineering organisation is actively adopting modern AI development tooling. Engineers across the company are being upskilled to work with tools such as Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows.
For this role they are specifically looking for someone who is already comfortable using modern AI coding tools in daily development and who can help the team adopt these practices effectively. That means not just using AI to write code faster, but helping engineers understand how these tools can improve development workflows, code quality and productivity.
You will design and build internal tools such as:
- operational dashboards
- data-rich reporting interfaces
- interactive tables with filtering and drill-downs
- visualisations that help teams understand complex metrics
- tools that replace manual reporting workflows
A big part of the challenge lies in translating complex platform data into intuitive user experiences. You will work closely with backend engineers, product teams and business stakeholders to understand what insights are needed and how they should be presented.
Because the team itself is new, you will also have the opportunity to influence how this capability evolves. From frontend architecture to data visualisation patterns and interaction design.
The ideal engineer for this role enjoys bridging the gap between data and visualisation: someone who can work with engineers, speak with stakeholders and translate complex data problems into practical tools.
Technically you will work with modern frontend tooling and data visualisation libraries, building maintainable components that can scale as the platform grows.
