Your role: Senior Cloud / Platform Engineer Amsterdam

As a Senior Cloud / Platform Engineer Amsterdam, you help organizations operationalize AI in serious production environments by building the cloud-native platforms and infrastructure these systems actually run on.

One client may be scaling AI workloads across Kubernetes environments running on AWS or Azure, while another is redesigning its platform architecture around event-driven systems, enterprise AI assistants or modern RAG applications.

Because every environment is different, you continuously expand your experience across cloud-native infrastructure, automation, security and distributed systems instead of remaining locked into the same stack for years.

You work closely together with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and AI specialists inside multidisciplinary squads, combining hands-on engineering with architectural thinking.

The work remains highly practical and engineering-driven. One week you may improve CI/CD and GitOps flows for a cloud-native platform, while the next you help design scalable infrastructure for AI systems that must operate securely and reliably in production.

What is needed?

4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or Cloud-Native Infrastructure
Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
Experience with modern cloud-native environments
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud security
Strong communication skills and the ability to read between the lines
Fluent English communication skills
