Vacancy: Senior Polyglot Software Engineer Amsterdam
- We're looking for a senior software engineer who doesn’t just follow best practices, but actively shapes them. Someone who has deliberately explored multiple ecosystems in production and continuously pushes themselves beyond their comfort zone;
- Are you the engineer who uses technology not as a goal, but as a tool to help organisations move from A to B, whether that’s scaling systems, modernising architectures or bringing AI into production?
- Do you want to be part of a group of engineers where craftsmanship, knowledge sharing and continuous growth are the standard, not the exception?
- And do you say yes to a permanent contract from day one, €5,000 training budget, bi-weekly knowledge sessions with peers, 3/4 days remote and an environment where standing still simply isn’t an option?
Sounds like you? Please read on!
Your employer: where strong engineers come to become exceptional
This is not your average consultancy. This is a compact group of highly driven software engineers who consistently operate at a high level, both technically and in how they engage with clients. They work with a limited number of organisations, but go deep. You’re not there to fill gaps, you’re there to raise the bar. Long-term engagements where you help shape how software is built, scaled and maintained.
What defines this place is mindset. Engineers who speak at conferences, contribute to open source, organise community events and continuously invest in their craft. Not because it’s required, but because they genuinely care about being among the best.
Every two weeks, the compay comes together to challenge each other: architecture decisions, new patterns, emerging technologies. If you’re comfortable, you’re probably in the wrong room. If you’re curious and driven, you’ll grow fast.
People are working there for many year. The people who leave? They move into CTO roles, start their own companies, or join top-tier tech organisations like Google, Uber. This is an environment that accelerates careers.
Your role: Senior Polyglot Software Engineer Amsterdam
As a Senior Polyglot Software Engineer Amsterdam, together with your team, you help organisations transform the way they build software. Moving from legacy systems to cloud-native platforms, introducing event-driven architectures, and increasingly integrating AI and GenAI into real production environments.
You operate across the full spectrum:from system design and architecture → to hands-on implementation → to guiding teams and influencing technical direction. You choose what fits the problem, but always with a clear architectural vision.
Projects are long-term. You don’t just design, you stay to see it work, scale and evolve. You build trust with stakeholders, challenge decisions when needed, and help teams level up.
This is not about writing tickets. This is about transforming systems and the way people build them.
Growth opportunities:
You’ll have the freedom to grow in the direction that fits your ambition: from technical leadership and architecture to public speaking, developer advocacy or deep technical expertise. Whether you want to lead teams, share knowledge on stage, contribute to open source or become a recognised expert in your field, you’ll get the space, support and environment to make it happen.

- Strong experience with a JVM language, Typescript or Go (polyglot minded)
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and preferably Kubernetes
- Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable platform challenges
- Experience with event-driven or reactive architectures
- Experience technically guiding other engineers
- Contributions to open source or speaking at meetups / conferences is a big plus
- Interest in AI applications and how they fit into modern systems
- You take ownership, communicate clearly and are not afraid to challenge the status quo
What's on offer?
