Your new job: Frontend Developer Amsterdam – Angular & React

As the new Frontend Developer Amsterdam – Angular & React you will have a very tangible effect on people. As the entire IT landscape was recently rebuilt & refactored, now the JavaScript team has all the benefits to reap of a clean codebase and an extensive roadmap of very cool projects and products ahead.

As the Uber in their segment, the products you build all revolve around connecting people with the right specialists, having specialists engage with each other, enhancing customer satisfaction, smart
rating systems and machine learning applications! The software development team works very close to the business and it’s no exception to see developers on the office floor and vice versa, discussing new features and applications with people from different disciplines. Your new team is vibrant and young, but holding high coding standards: Clean coding, CI/CD and Scrum are norm here.

Your new colleagues and you as a Frontend Developer Amsterdam – Angular & React will continuously evaluate the technology stack and make changes where you see fit. Most in the frontend is developed in Angular 2, but as an experiment they use React for multiple features. In the backend they work with NodeJS, Microservices and AWS and the fun thing is that as a developer you can choose to work on projects you wish to work on. As there are plenty of backend as well as frontend projects (and developers), you can choose to be focused on either of those or on the entire range (literally full stack)! In your new team sharing knowledge and having technical discussions is key, and everyone can implement everything as long as you can get your arguments across.

What do we need from you?

2+ years of professional JavaScript Developer experience
Passion for building Single Page Applications
A technical university degree or similar level is a plus
Experience with React or Angular are big pluses
Well-developed social skills are appreciated
Experience with Unit Testing, TDD, Automated Testing or End to End testing is a plus
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment is a plus
Experience with Agile/Scrum software development

From their site and reviews they looked like very professional recruiters and i was not wrong. In about 2 weeks i had a couple interviews at a variety of big tech companies and got a good offer pretty soon thereafter.They guided, prepared me for the interviews and helped with the final negotiations. I was looking for a role as a senior Scala developer in Amsterdam/Utrecht region.I was specifically looking to apply for one company through CodeGuild, but in the initial interview they also presented me with a couple of other options for companies which would be a good fit for me.They were very friendly, helpful and supportive, without being pushy. There was targeted help with prep for the interviews/assessments which was specific to each company, and they enabled me to give the best account for myself (definitely better than if I'd been preparing on my own).In the end I accepted an offer from one of the companies they presented me with instead of the original company I had in mind.
