This true healthcare software product company is working hard on its innovative product that allows thousands of lives to be saved by ruling out human errors. They are currently already servicing 25.000 patients and are looking to scale this up to around half a million! This potential market is 4 million, so the journey is still very exciting!
They are furthermore looking to extend their microservices from 3 to about 10 to 20, also needing architectural and infrastructure work to be done. The product is used by multiple health providers and patients alike so working here means working with modern technologies, having a big impact on the further development of the product AND adding real value to thousands of people!
Their stack: DDD, Scala, Microservices, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker, GraphQL, Scrum.
As they are growing successfully we are now looking for multiple senior+ level scala developer to come to add to the e-health tech revolution!
Your role: Lead Scala Developer Amsterdam
As Lead Scala Developer Amsterdam you will be the technical leader for all backend related topics. You will get to keep coding standards high and mentor them to be able to perform the best (while still having a lot of fun). Think about code reviews, pair programming when needed and continuously coming up with fresh ideas to help the company reach its goals.
The total group of development consists of backend, frontend and mobile specialists. All very passionate for clean coding, test automation, and collaboration! Here you will be part of a group of intelligent and fun software engineering working hard to scale up the product and conquer the rest of the market.
As Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam you will get to help to implement the long list of features (over 3 years’ worth!) and continuously improve the performance to be able to handle the ever increasing load. As the organization grows and gains more traction in the market you can look forward to excellent career growth.
What is required?
- 2+ years of professional development experience with Scala
- 7+ years of professional development experience
- A track record of technical development leadership
- Excellent comprehension of the standard Scala libraries
- Experience working on systems the need to scale and be reliable
- Experience within a microservices architecture is a bug plus
- Experience with deploying into a cloud environment is a plus
- Experience with NoSQL technology is a plus
- Experience with ELK Stack or Docker is a plus
What is offered:
- Between € 70.000 to € 80.000 gross per year based on 40 hours
- Flexible working hours
