Your employer: Product tech company is building a new cloud platform where online tech meets the sustainable world
This company has been one of the technical masterminds behind solution where online tech meets our day to day live. They have been and will remain under the radar, but if you knew what they are responsible for in our day to day live, you will be surprised. Their high available, real- time cloud platform is a big part of our daily live. And their time has come the really scale up, launch some new products and become one of the latest success stories in the Silicon Valley of Europe, Amsterdam!
They are entering a really interesting phase, because a lot of new ideas and product are about to be developed and therefor the engineering teams needs to grow. The new product will be e combination between online tech and the sustainable word. In essence you will develop a high available Cloud platform that has a huge impact for the latest development within renewable energy.
The company has been set up by a group of brilliant minds and are financially backed by one of the companies that is responsible for scaling up the biggest E-Commerce company we have in the Netherlands. So a lot of knowledge behind this small tech giant. They are ambitious and aiming for the highest and the first conversation with Google already took place.

Your role: Java Software Engineer Amsterdam
In your role as Java Software engineer Amsterdam you will working within a multidisciplinary and very agile team. Here you will work on their new eyecatcher. A distributed Cloud platform which has a mission critical factor for the deployment of renewable energy worldwide.
These are highly available, highly scalable and high performance real-time systems, to be built within a microservices architecture. With here and there also some algorithmic and machine learning nuts to crack.
As the company grows you will also be able to help grow the team and even grow into the role of tech lead if you would so wish!
What is required?
- A minimum of 2 years of professional backend development experience
- A completed Beta Bachelor education or higher (or demonstrated similar working experience)
- Solid experience with Java8 or higher
- Experience with working in a microservices architecture
- Experience With Spring Boot and/or Docker is a plus
- Experience with REST and/or GraphQL
- Solid comprehension of data structures and algorithms is a plus
- Experience with GCP and/or Kubernetes is a big plus
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
