Your job: Solution Architect Amsterdam
As Solution Architect Amsterdam you will manage development teams for various products. One of the products you will focus on is being built from scratch. So you have a big influence on the entire development. The products are used directly by millions of consumers. This allows you to quickly go from idea to testing in a very large consumer base. In addition you will work on products that form the basis for other products for different brands of the organization. Therefore, you set the standard and influence products for the entire brand group and millions of consumer end users!
The products you supervise are high-traffic products, so testing is priority and the focus is on building quality. There are millions of end users so your impact is huge! The stack that is being used currently is with React, Node.js and AWS. However, as a solution architect you are the driving force behind the innovation and you will ensure that the stack develops further.
Your work consists of bringing new ideas, building POCs, guiding tests with millions of consumers and supervise development teams in-house and near-shore. So you are the driving force behind innovation and you have a lot of impact within the organization and the way millions of consumers use this product.
In addition you will have contact with various stakeholders, so you will see the different facets of this tangible product and hence are involved in the entire process.
In terms of growth opportunities, this company has different platforms so horizontal growth is possible as well as growing into the position of Lead Solution Architect. Your development is important in this company and therefore you also get budget for training and conferences. On top of that your hard work is rewarded with an annual bonus of 1.5 months of your yearly income!
What is required:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor or Master computer science or comparable level
- Good frontend experience, but also good knowledge of backend development
- Experience with a modern frontend framework (such as React, Vue.js, Angular)
- Experience with best practices such as TDD, CI / CD, unit testing, end2end testing
- Up to date with latest tech and also intrinsically motivated to stay up to date
- Experience with high traffic apps is a plus
- Affinity with serverless development (cloud)
- You are a team player who is confident and secure within him or herself
- Potential to inspire and bring people along with their ideas
- Experience as lead and/or software architect
- Experience with stakeholder management (business focus)
- Experience with R&D and making technical decisions
