Your job: Senior JavaScript Software Engineer Amsterdam

You as Senior JavaScript Software Engineer Amsterdam will be part of an elite software development team, which you will be leading on site here in Amsterdam, while working on cutting edge software projects. The nice thing is that they have a huge list of projects, from which the most interesting projects are cherry picked. You will be working directly with the leads involved from the very beginning; speaking with the customer, transferring this into requirements and build the solution on projects that last between 6 months and 1,5 years, based on the best of breed technologies and methodologies. With your expert experience you will be the foundation of teams of the most successful teams.

In projects you will be the technological leaders towards customers, getting requirements, sparring with them, deciding on architecture and technology stack. This while sharing your growth with the lesser experienced members on the team, and learning from the lead on the path to become one yourself.

You will be feeding this hub of software engineering innovation and communicating about the applications for modernizing industries on online media channels, through meetups and at conferences. You will call the smartest engineers in the Amsterdam Area your colleagues, which will quickly grow into a unit of a few dozen professionals.

You will visit the most innovative departments of this global organization, making connections and adding the companies best practices to your own. And next to that, the main focus will be on the in house development of the necessary tools here in Amsterdam to be able to service the market with the highest quality available.

What is required?

A minimum of 4 years of professional JavaScript software engineering experience
A technical Bachelor or Master’s degree or similar level
Experience with setting up (complex) Frontend Architectures
Experience with Angular, React(native), VueJS, Polymer or NodeJS are pluses
Experience with Webpack is a plus
Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Unit Testing, TDD, Automated Testing or End to End testing is a plus

What is offered?

Between € 55.000 and € 65.000 gross per year + up to 12% of your annual wage

From their site and reviews they looked like very professional recruiters and i was not wrong. I was looking for a role as a senior Scala developer in Amsterdam/Utrecht region.I was specifically looking to apply for one company through CodeGuild, but in the initial interview they also presented me with a couple of other options for companies which would be a good fit for me.They were very friendly, helpful and supportive, without being pushy. There was targeted help with prep for the interviews/assessments which was specific to each company, and they enabled me to give the best account for myself (definitely better than if I'd been preparing on my own).In the end I accepted an offer from one of the companies they presented me with instead of the original company I had in mind.
