Your job: Senior Java Backend Software Engineer Amsterdam
As Senior Java Backend Software Engineer Amsterdam you can really have a big impact. Both within the organization (falling directly under the CTO), within your team, within the lives of the users as well as in the life of client(s) throughout the many industries. This industry is really taking off! Here you will get to combine the latest insight on AI with the most modern technologies within building highly performant software.
You and your lead developer will be responsible for translating challenges into technology (being the primary contact for customers), and always being able to work with the best technology for the solution. You will be responsible for architecture, design, building software and helping your team to develop the cutting edge product you and your team have ownership of. Starting with PoC’s/R&D and maturing the products in about 1 to 2 years’ time. You generally start with a clean slate. All while working in a combined team of data scientists, data engineers and software engineers. Here you can combine creativity, curiosity and pragmatism with solid software engineering standards!
What is required:
- 5+ years of Java or Scala Software Engineering experience
- Experience with building highly performant and/or scalable systems
- A proponent of solid software engineering best practices like clean coding
- A strong communicator, curious, pragmatic and creative
- Experience with Microservices is highly preferred
- Experience with java8 and Spring Boot is a plus
- Experience with Cassandra, Hbase or MongoDB is a plus
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or MSSQL are pluses
- Experience with AWS or Azure are pluses
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, Hadoop or Spark are pluses
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Continuous Delivery are pluses
What is offered:
