Your role: Senior Java Developer Amsterdam Big Data
As Senior Java Developer Amsterdam Big Data you will have a big chance to make an impact, as you always work on systems of scale! You and your multidisciplinary scrum team will be responsible for translating challenges into technology, combining software engineer and data science.
Together you help make technologies out of ideas, starting with PoC’s/R&D and then helping to grow these systems/products into maturity. Here you can combine creativity, curiosity and pragmatism with solid software engineering standards!
Some technologies you will get to work with: Java8+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Python, GraphDB’s, AWS, GCP, MongoDB, Hbase, Cassandra, Spark, Kafka, ElasticSearch and Kubernetes.
As you work with very smart software engineers, data engineers and data scientists there is a big potential to learn from everyone! Especially as every project you start on is basically greenfield!
What is required?
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Solid Java software development experience (Java8+, Spring)
- A completed MSc Informatics, Software Engineering or similar working level
- A proponent of solid software engineering best practices like CI/CD, agile, clean coding, and test automation
- A strong communicator, curious, pragmatic and creative
- Experience with Python or Spring Boot are pluses
- Experience with Cassandra, Hbase or MongoDB is a plus
- Experience with AWS or GCP are pluses
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, Hadoop or Spark are pluses
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Continuous Delivery are pluses
What is offered?
- € 60.000 to € 70.000 gross per year based on knowledge and added value
