Your role: Scala Software Engineer Amsterdam
In your role as Scala Software Engineer Amsterdam you will work for the main office in Amsterdam to further develop the core platform their very innovative healthcare solution based on DDD, Scala, Microservices, Mongo, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Docker and Git.
In your role as Scala Software Engineer Amsterdam you will work in a very fun and experienced international development team of backend, frontend and mobile software engineers to further extend their product line to complete their ambitious (and very interesting!) product line. As you will be working with people with multiple years of scala experience there is a lot that can be learned from each other!
This system needs to run 24/7, need to be 100% secure end fault tolerant as it deals with the sensitive information of millions of people within the Netherlands. The complexity of the Dutch healthcare IT landscape and the fact that time to market needs to be spot in this increasingly changing market, adding to the challenge!
Next to of course working with very modern technologies and methodologies what makes this job really worthwhile is that your software will enable move human lives to be saved. Talk about making an impact!
What is required?
- A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience with a JVM language
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science or similar level
- Clean coding mentality and an open and collaborative personality
- Professional years of experience with Scala and Reactive programming is a big plus
- Experience with Akka and/or Finch would be a plus
- Experience with NoSQL or Queuing technology is a plus
- Experience with security and/or high availability systems is a big plus
- Experience with DevOps, cheff, ansible and/or puppet are pluses
- Experience with Docker is a plus
