Your job: Scala Developer Amsterdam
As Scala Developer Amsterdam you have various greenfield scala projects in Amsterdam to choose from. One project in particular you will be building a real time big data IoT system which will impact hundreds of millions of consumers all over the world by making systems more predictable and safe. By working on these systems your team will help save lives!
As Scala Developer Amsterdam you will work from Amsterdam in one of the self-supporting teams. You and your team will design, architect and deliver one of the various projects. Furthermore, you will help to keep coding standards high, help mentor fewer experience developers and further help develop a strong software engineering/knowledge sharing culture for this office.
What is required?
- Professional experience with functional programming and the JVM
- Good experience with Scala and building distributed systems is a big plus
- Passionate about clean coding and overall high-quality software engineering
- Experience with Akka Streams, Akka HTTP or Kafka is a plus
- Experience with Microservices architectures is a plus
- Experience with Cassandra or MongoDB is a plus
- Experience with Google Cloud or AWS is a plus
- Experience with Queuing technology is a plus
- Experience with delivery automation is a plus
