Your job: Principal Data Engineer Amsterdam
Data plays an important role within this organization, you will work as a Principal Data Engineer Amsterdam at the heart of the organization “their Data Platform Team”. You will get the chance to build a Core Streaming Data Platform on which hundreds of engineers within the organization will build further on and allows them to implement Kafka easier and faster. You’ll literally make life easier for your colleagues, and be the hero of the office 😉.
In addition, as Principal, you are the right-hand to the Tech Director of this elite team, giving you the space to advise, try out new tools and bite down on non-trivial Engineering challenges like data modelling, work on the deepest layers of Kafka and even get the chance to contribute to open-source tech. In short, you never have a dull day!
What is being asked?
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience
- Professional experience in Java, Kotlin or Scala
- Professional experience in Kafka
- Professional experience in Protobuf, Buf or Avro
- Experience with deploying on Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with cloud like AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus
What is being offered?
- Salary between €100.000 and €120.000 based on knowledge and experience
