Your job: Medior Scala Developer Amsterdam
As Medior Scala Developer Amsterdam you are in luck! Here you will work within one of three elite functional programming/scala squads that are building various heavy load greenfield systems that deal with the core fundamentals of this technology company.
Working here does not mean you “just implement business logic”, here you actually work to build technology: frameworks, components and heavy load API’s. In essence you will help build the standards and foundation that the future of millions of consumer clients count on, now and in the future as they scale up their client base. The great thing is that you can work with a very high level of colleagues, all saturated with the core fundamentals of software engineering, functional programming and scala.
Within the organization together you will act as a proponent of FP and Scala while pro-actively helping to implement the roadmap that touches millions of consumer customers each day. To make sure you remain on top of your game, you can look forward to 2 fully paid trips to international conferences per year!
Technologies you get to work with: Scala2 (Catz, Finagle, ScalaZ, Scala Test, Scala Check Cassandra), Microservices, Cloud, Kafka, CI/CD Automation
What is needed?
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- experience developing scala applications
- A good comprehension of the theory around functional programming and data structures
- Experience within a Microservices architecture
- Experience with Cassandra or another NoSQL solutions is a big plus
- Experience with Cloud development is a plus
- Experience with Kafka or similar technology is a plus
