Your job: Medior Java Scala Developer Amsterdam
As Medior Java Scala Developer Amsterdam you will work in a passionate scrum team that builds highly scalable systems, both in Java/Spring and Scala/Akka. Allowing you to grow in both OR offer you the chance to grow in Scala if you have not been able to work with it that much so far!
In your role you will work in close collaboration with the business in the Netherlands as well as in different countries to help build the API’s that service them best. Meaning this job will not only allow you to technically make an impact, you also get direct feedback on your hard work!
As you are a part of a very experienced group of software engineers there is a lot of room to spar about and learn more about proper functional programming with Scala, cloud, building heavy load systems, microservices architecture, delivery automation and containerization. They regularly have knowledge sessions and working here means being able to go to conferences abroad 2x per year, all expenses paid!
What is needed?
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Communicative and able to speak with the business
- Development experience with Java and Scala (although one can be less than the other)
- Experience within a Microservices architecture is a plus
- Experience with Cassandra or another NoSQL solutions is a big plus
- Experience with Cloud development is a plus
- Experience with Kafka or similar technology is a plus
