Your new job: Medior Java Developer Amsterdam

As the new Medior Java Developer Amsterdam you will join the A-team of software engineering here in Amsterdam. Together with your team you will solve high (conceptual) level business-cases at within technically complex, capital rich environments here in Amsterdam, working with technologies like Java8, Spring Boot, Kafka, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes and whatever technology can solve the challenge the best. But on top of this also blockchain, artificial intelligence & machine learning. The critical nature of the software built makes Unit Testing, End2end testing and automated testing very important, as are solid architectures. You will receive a mentor that you will pair with, so you always have a Grand Master next to you to learn from!

Examples of recent projects are: Lead a fortune 500 tech company to move from a monolith to a high performance Microservices environment, build companywide chatbot-strategies based in advanced AI & robo-advisors for global fintech companies and increased the performance of one of the most used cross platform application in the Netherlands by a 1000%!

And don’t worry about technologies you don’t know about yet: Training budgets are large and every Friday everyone is in the office sharing knowledge with each other: building PoCs, doing courses, sharing project info, contributing to open source projects; whatever you like to move your career forward!

What do we need from you?

2+ years of professional Java software development experience
You have an interest to grown technically as well as interpersonally
A hunger to learn and to grow
A degree in computer science, applied mathematics, informatics or similar is a big plus
Experience with Spring Boot, Cloud (AWS, Google Cloud) or Queuing technology is a plus
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Bamboo, Teamcity or Jenkins is a plus
Experience with Unit testing, End2end testing and/or automated testing are big plusses
Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery/Deployment is a big plus

From their site and reviews they looked like very professional recruiters and i was not wrong. In about 2 weeks i had a couple interviews at a variety of big tech companies and got a good offer pretty soon thereafter.They guided, prepared me for the interviews and helped with the final negotiations. I was looking for a role as a senior Scala developer in Amsterdam/Utrecht region.I was specifically looking to apply for one company through CodeGuild, but in the initial interview they also presented me with a couple of other options for companies which would be a good fit for me.They were very friendly, helpful and supportive, without being pushy. There was targeted help with prep for the interviews/assessments which was specific to each company, and they enabled me to give the best account for myself (definitely better than if I'd been preparing on my own).In the end I accepted an offer from one of the companies they presented me with instead of the original company I had in mind.
