Your role: Lead Core Java Developer Amsterdam
As Lead Core Java Developer Amsterdam you technically lead a brand new scrum team, responsible for a totally new service running on GCP. Things you can look forward to are challenges around architecture, latency, data locality, scalability, data synchronicity, data storage and optimization.
About 80 to 90% of your time you will be hands on designing and coding. The rest you will help your engineers work together the best, keep coding standards high, invest in R&D and report into the development manager.
As there is still a lot of both architectural work, feature development and software engineering upgrades that need to be done, you can really help make an impact as every service needs to be ready to processes massive loads and runs in the cloud. Also they are currently upgrading their stack to Kubernetes, are implementing search with ElasticSearch and will move to CircleCI.
What is required?
- 7+ years of java software engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of and experience with core java, data structures, distributed systems, data storage, high load & highly available systems?
- An agile worker and good collaborator
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Kubernetes or CircleCI is a plus
- Experience working in a microservices architecture
- Experience with NoSQL solutions is a plus
- Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus
- Experience with Queuing technology is a nice to have

- Between € 75.000 and € 90.000 gross per year based on knowledge and added value
