Your role: Java Chapter Lead Amsterdam
In your role as Java Chapterlead Amsterdam you have one of the most influential roles, where you work in the core systems of the organization. Together with the other chapter lead JavaScript you are the technical extension of management and ensures the quality of everything that is developed in the various backend teams. You do stakeholder management, you help maintain quality standards and you act as a mentor / sparring partner for backend engineers. Here you can really make an impact. Within the organization and within the teams.
As a Java Chapter Lead Amsterdam you are responsible for the architecture and vision, development teams help to remove obstacles and you work hands on in one of the product teams. You can fully engage in technology with this. Of course you will also do research on new technology and do a POC every now and then.
You also take on the backend team’s mentor / coach role. You help people develop their goals. You will also shape your own team, so you are involved in the application process.
What is being asked?
- At least 8 years of professional development experience with Java or another JVM language
- Experience with Architecture, Design and interested in working hands-on
- Communicative skills, capable of conducting good stakeholder management
- Positive attitude, with which you know how to inspire and engage people
- Curious and communicative
- Technical Bachelor or Master or comparable working level
- Experience with Spring Boot is a plus
- Experience in a micro services environment is a plus
- Experience with AWS or another Cloud vendor is a plus
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with setting up Continuous Delivery is a plus
- Test automation is a plus
